Hi Sis, my name is Yana.

My intention is to make your life easier - just as mine became easier through my own journey - and to create a community where we uplift each other, reminding ourselves:

“Don’t let your crown be a burden.”

My Hijab Journey

For most of my life, I didn’t wear a hijab. That changed after a car crash - an event that transformed my perspective and challenged me in ways I never imagined. Adapting to the hijab physically, spiritually, and emotionally wasn’t easy, but it led me to a place of growth and strength. Now, I want to share that ease with you - not just through the hijabs I designed but through the mindset that helped me embrace my crown.

Let me take you on a small journey - “How I got here...”

The Moment That Changed Everything

January 2018 - my sister and I were driving, deep in conversation.

“We know we should cover… when are we going to do it?” I asked. She sighed, “Soon.”

A moment of silence followed, then I said something that would forever echo in my mind: “Who promised us that ‘soon’?”  - and in the very next second our car was hit. In that instant, the reality of life’s unpredictability struck me harder than the crash itself.

From that day forward, I wore my hijab. I pray I will continue to do so, embracing it not just as fabric, but as a commitment - a reminder of the fragility of time and the strength of faith.

From Frustration to Innovation

For years, I experimented with different ways to cover, but nothing felt comfortable. Being claustrophobic made it even harder. I could design and create intricate jackets, clothes, bags, and even toys - but a simple, comfortable, easy-to-wear headscarf felt impossible to craft.

I tried countless designs but never stuck to any - until about two years ago. Inspired by a friend and with the help of my sister, I created the easiest, most comfortable hijab I had ever worn. A year later, I made the intention to share it with you.

Sustainability & Thoughtful Design

I am deeply passionate about sustainability. I didn’t just want to produce hijabs - I wanted the entire process to be meaningful, conscious, and sustainable from beginning to end.

The Design

Unique, beautiful, and well-considered. No undercap, no pins, no extras - just effortless comfort. Versatile styling to suit different preferences. Optimised pattern cutting ensures zero-waste production.

The Fabric

Sourced from a small, family-run business in the heart of the mountains. We’ve been sourcing materials from Mehmed and his family for over a decade.

Made from deadstock fabrics - high-quality textiles “leftovers” of the fashion industry, given new life instead of being sent to landfills.

The Makers

Each hijab is tailored by independent artisans who set their own wages, ensuring fair pay and ethical production.

Uncle Mehmed has worked in his small village studio for years, and locals even stop by to pray in his space.

Amira, a meticulous and talented seamstress, spends her days in a clothing factory and her evenings sewing in her home atelier.

Don’t Let Your Crown Be a Burden

This phrase struck me after a prolonged period of hijab struggles. I realized I had turned my hijab into a burden - when in reality, it was a blessing. The way we perceive things shapes our experience. Instead of bringing myself down, I chose to embrace my crown with confidence.

We can never defeat doubts, comparisons, or whispers if we engage with them. But when we shift our perspective, accept and love ourselves, and embrace our choice to cover - that is true ease and freedom.

Freedom to please the Creator, not the creation!

How can we not stand tall in that?

With love, Yana
